When you are designing banners for your trade show displays or other uses, there are many important factors to consider. For instance it is highly important to decide on and lots of different aspects to consider. When you order custom vinyl banners, these will all be aspects that you are required to inform the banners printing company on in order to have your final product meet your requirements. Here we will look at what you can do to make sure that your final product is what you hope it will be, and a list of items for you to consider.

Material: The first thing you need to decide is what material you want it made from and vinyl, card and cloth are all popular. This is of course a matter of opinion but will affect various aspects of the banner. Vinyl banners are arguably the most popular and these have a vast range of benefits that in many ways put them above the competition. Vinyl banners are very durable and weather-proof making them perfect for outdoor banners, they work well with a range of dyes and inks meaning that they produce very vibrant designs, they can be rolled up or stored and they are also fairly light. For most situations then, vinyl banners are the most effective solution. You may then in turn have to choose between glossy vinyl, matte vinyl or mesh vinyl which again has different advantages.

Method of hanging/standing: Next you need to decide one whether you want to have roll up banner stands so that your banners are standing vertically, or whether you want to have banners that hang from walls or over your trade show displays. This will largely depend on the nature of your intended use and where and how you will be using it. Banners that hang are in many ways more noticeable from a distance, however banners that are free standing such as roll up banner stands can be erected anywhere and are thus more versatile. At the same time they can sometimes be easier to read up close.

Size: The size of your banners are also important and again this will depend on the nature of your intended use. Of course again larger banners are more noticeable from a distance and good at indicating a point of interest, while smaller banners can be read from up close and are also more practical being easier to carry and store and requiring less space to be hung or stood up.

Design: You will then of course have to come up with your design and you might wish to do this yourself and keep it simple, or to try and get a third party/graphics department to contribute something more eye catching and professional in appearance.

Banner Printing Company: Finally you need to decide where you want to get your banners printing. This will depend on your budget, your requirements and of the cost and features offered by the particular banner companies. Take time choosing the company that is most satisfactory for the best and longest lasting banners.
